No. RochesterMNTreeRemoval.com is a free request and referral service. We pass your request to an independent local tree care company, and that company quotes and does the work. We don't do any tree work ourselves.
Is it really free?
Yes. Submitting a request costs nothing and you're not obligated to hire anyone. Tree companies may pay us for referrals, which doesn't change what you're charged.
Who will contact me, and how fast?
A local tree pro that serves your area, by phone or email. Emergency requests are passed along right away. Timing depends on how busy crews are, especially after big storms.
Do you check out the tree companies?
No. We pass requests to local tree pros, but we don't verify contractors. Before work begins, ask any company for proof of insurance, and check with your city about any license it requires.
How much does tree removal cost in Rochester?
It depends on size, location, access and cleanup. Rough planning ranges are on our homepage, but they're estimates only. Your actual price comes from the tree pro after they see the tree.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree on my property?
Usually not for a tree on your own private lot, but rules vary by city and situation. Trees in the boulevard or right-of-way are generally the city's responsibility. When in doubt, check with your city first.
What about a tree near power lines?
Never work near power lines yourself. Contact your electric utility. They handle trees touching lines, and a qualified line-clearance crew may be needed.
